Bette Midler: Songs & Lyrics

10896975_761206913969710_1937692416704565027_n

I used Darrell Redmond’s template from Bette On The Boards to help bring Bette’s catalogue up to date. The majority of my contributions are after the year 1984. Very special thank you’s to Darrell Redmond, Marc Shaiman, Eric Kornfeld, Todd Sussman, Steve Weiner, Nicola Calder and Cristina Vanuzzi for their contributions.

Below is a comprehensive list of all known songs that were recorded, performed, or written by Bette Midler during the entirety of her career. Bette is known for her wide range of material, and this database certainly represents that. Please note that not all songs on this list are necessarily performed in their entirety. Bette may have only sung a few lines spontaneously during a certain performance, or included part of it in a medley (but if she sang even a line, I feel it merits being on this list.)

All songs listed on this page were either performed in concert, recording studios, or during television appearances. Some were simply just penned by her and maybe not recorded (also listed with an *). Listed below each song is where they were most prominently featured. Song lyrics,if available, can be accessed by clicking on the “Lyrics” link on the right next to each song title.

Please note that some some lyrics may feature blank lines. These are sections of the song that I have not been able to decipher. If you can help fill in any of these blanks, I would truly appreciate it. Also please note that any album / tour listing marked with an asterix (*) denotes only a rumored or unconfirmed appearance of that song. If you can lend credence to any of these elusive listings, please let me know.

If you know a song that Bette performed that is not listed here, please feel free to contribute. Perhaps you can recall a rare impromptu song that Bette sang at a show you attended that was not part of her normal repertoire. All additions are more than welcomed. Thanks in advance for your help in keeping this page alive.

All lyrics are property and copyright of their original owners. All lyrics provided are for educational purposes only.
