Critics have hailed The Showgirl Must Go On as “a razzle dazzle spectacular,” according to Daily Variety. She’s adding two songs from her “Cool Yule” album (none of which have been performed by Midler in concert until now), including the title track, and doing a seasonal variant of “From a Distance.” “These special shows also feature updated choreography, costumes and video elements topped off by a visit from jolly old St. Nick,” says the official press release. On Jay Leno last night, comic/actress, Kathy Griffin, announced that Bette Midler would be on the season opener of her show, Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List. Ms. Griffin is changing the show up a bit….according to her it will be a hybrid of a talk show and reality show….so she will be interviewing Bette….cool, eh? (Thanks to Chef Bev for the information.)

My gal Friday, associate, takeover person should something bad happen to me, Katrin, sent this to my attention. Of course it’s Ellen and the Showgirls from Us Magazine online. Notice Bette is nowhere to be found. Anyway, it says they are appearing November 24th, as it does on Bette’s Official MySpace page.
I have asked for confirmation and apparently it’s not confirmed, but negotiations are still at hand. I don’t get it…but my money says Bette will be on the show. Of course, I don’t have any money, so I have nothing to lose!
