Not Bette-Related: 3 Ways To Help The Hurricane Relief Effort

I’m sure some of you have friends and relatives that have been devastated by Hurricane Katrina…just about all my relatives are from Biloxi, Gulfport, and Pensacola…and friends from New Orleans and the surrounding area. Like many, I’m just horrified at what I’m seeing on the television. Not getting any first hand reports from family or friends right now…can’t reach them.

But there are ways we can all pitch in. I saw the Governor of Louisiana or somebody like that and they said there are 3 main ways to help:

1. They need people to donate money
2. They need people to volunteer blood
3. They need volunteers at the Red Cross.

I don’t know about you, but I can at least do the first 2 things on the list. So if any of you feel like you’d like to help out…there you have it. Every little bit helps…it all adds up!

Thanks for reading this and my heartfelt thanks, thoughts, and prayers to all of you!

Where can I give blood?

Individuals wishing to make a blood donation to the Red Cross may call their local Red Cross Blood Services office or call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE.

Sincerely,
