Now I’m told that the Scott Rudin production is not ready to wrap quite yet. They’re scheduled to be at Kaufman “through Christmas.” They still have a set built at a studio in Yonkers where more shooting takes place. Read More

Mister D: Until I get a review page ready, this will have to do. Thanks for sending this Richard…saved me time:-) The Tribine review of Bette:

It’s camp, it’s all Bette Midler
By Dan Kening

Bette Midler, camp is thy middle name.

At her United Center show Wednesday—the first stop on her 40-city “Kiss My Brass” tour—Midler provided more campy moments than a visit to the Liberace museum in Las Vegas.

Take her grand entrance, descending from above while riding a white carousel horse. Read More

I’m Swamped!!!

If you have written me while I was in Chicago and now afterwards, please be patient…I will try to get back with everyone but I am swamped with my “real” work….yes, there is a price to being The Divine Mister D…LOL

Now that I am old (er) it takes much more time for me to recuperate on a slam bam trip like this one. Richie…if you’re reading thank you so much for keeping me company and keeping me amused. I just loved you to death…

I have tried to post on the Yahoo Groups, but only a couple of my messages have gone through…it must be overloaded. Brian…you wrote an excellent review…sorry I missed you…again…this was a surprise for me from Barry…go figure….he just wanted a day of silence:-) Read More

Thank You Snook and Barry

Thanks you two for helping me get the set list out. I’m too pooped to write, but that was a great overview. I got to take a little teensy break to recover from this one…

Nice meeting you Rich, Kim, and your family/friends….wish I could have stayed and talked longer…

Love, Don
