Jenifer Lewis bared her soul in her memoir “The Mother of Black Hollywood,” including the details of her sex addiction and a one-night stand with Jon Voight.

In the chapter titled “A Doll Named ‘Killer,’” Lewis, 60, recalls performing at Studio 54 one year for an AIDS charity and catching Voight’s eye.

Lewis, who currently stars on “Black-ish,” writes that she and Voight began their night with a walk through Central Park and took a romantic carriage ride. Read More

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Valerie Harper gave $5,000. Bette Midler, counting her pennies, donated $3,473 and put the pinch on Jack Nicholson, yelling, “Jack, you’re richer than all of us!”

The scene was a sunny, Sunday afternoon party for the proposed Equal Rights Amendment — and Hollywood’s in-crowd opened their pockets for a total of $50,000 for the cause.

Bette Midler‘s manager, Aaron Russo, is negotiating with Jon Voight and Brian Avnet, who want him to bring their show, “The Hashish Club”, here from Los Angeles.

Miss Midler said at Al & Dick’s that to express her gratitude for the wonderful reception at her Palace Theater show, she’s giving an Actors’ Fund benefit.
