The Halloween season is finally upon us! It’s the magical season of candy corn binges, gross-out scares, and girls dressed like slutty animals. Sandwiched somewhere between the late-night slasher flicks and the junk food benders, most of us try to dust off at least one of the spooky classics and give in to a bit of childhood nostalgia. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of one of the greatest Halloween movies ever, so we’ll do one better. Gas up your broom, find a virgin to light the black flame candle, and scare up some fun on this Bewitching Hocus Pocus Filming Locationsroad trip.

In Defense of the Sanderson Sisters
POSTED 2 DAYS AGO
We can’t imagine how difficult it must be to wake up from a 300 year nap and have children dressed in their Halloween finest running about unexpectedly while nothing is familiar and your home’s been turned into a museum, and yet, such is reality for the Sanderson sisters in Hocus Pocus. That’s why one of our writers [struggled] to play devil’s advocate—see what we did there?—and identify just a few reasons these witches may have not have been completely to blame for the general havoc they wrought in Salem in the ‘90s. Here’s why:

Bette Midler wore what might have been her most bizarre costume yet for her Hell Night on Hulaween Island bash in Manhattan Friday evening.
The 69-year-old pop diva made a dramatic entrance in a veritable mishmash of layered grass skirts, fishnet sleeves, and a crowded ram-horn headdress.

Could there finally be a sequel to the 1993 Halloween film “Hocus Pocus”? The movie’s producer David Kirschner knows fans want a “Hocus Pocus 2,” and revealed in a new interview he’s already pitched Disney about a possible TV movie.
According to Yahoo!, Kirschner said Disney turned down a film sequel several years ago but he’s still waiting for an answer about a possible Disney Channel Original Movie. The original film starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy as The Sanderson Sisters. Omri Katz, Vinessa Shaw and Thora Birch also starred.

9 Diva Duets That Will Leave You Gagging
What’s better than one iconic diva? TWO, duh.
by Cody Gohl

Gays love Divas. Whether it’s something deeply embedded in our DNA or something we learn from our queer forefathers and mothers, we live for these fierce and powerful ladies.
We love many things about them (their vocal athleticism, their costumes, their grace, their drama), but what we love most of all is how unapologetically Diva-like they are, how even in the face of other Divas, a Diva always believes herself to be the one true Diva.
