Kay to host Royal Variety

FUNNYMAN Peter Kay is to host this year’s star-studded Royal Variety Performance.
The comic will be joined by Hollywood legends Bette Midler and Whoopi Goldberg, plus the cast of the West End production of Sister Act.
Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity will also dance at the show as the event returns to Blackpool for the first time since 1955.
Also there will be X Factor champ Alexandra Burke, Michael Buble, Miley Cyrus, Katherine Jenkins, Paddy McGuinness and Jason Manford.
The spectacular gala bash – which takes place in front of the Queen – will be held on December 7 and aired on ITV1 later in the month.

Can’t believe Bette is going to Blackpool. I wonder if there’s any way of getting tickets, doubtful but you never know.

They’re completly sold out! I could cry, so close yet so far! The best bit is my friend just suggested we go down to blackpool for my birthday which is dec 6. Oh if i’d only known earlier.

My friends and i have just decided to go down. Haven’t got tickets but just to be in the same place at the same time is gonna be fab!
You never know we might just get a glimpse of bette going in or coming out. And there’s a slight difference being able to get to blackpool rather than vegas! lol

Great that Bette is finally heading back to the UK…
Many tours ago Bette started a tour in Seattle and then off the next day for her first London concert at the London Palladium. Having family in London I arranged for tickets. Of course Bette blew them all away and we still speak of that evening when Bette raised the roof at the Palladium. Bette made her famous Michael Parkinson appearance on this tour…. Shame we in the States can’t see the Command Performance… When I lived in England I grew up watching on the telly…

They do record it and show it a few weeks later. I’m so excited. I hope she brings the band and the girls!! Make it a HUGE production!!

HI Everyone I was VERY Lucky enough to get Tickets for the Royal Variety Performance so I can give you all the details straight after the Show of what our Godess did on the show & they always put the Show on the TV about a week after so I’m sure it will be online too so you can all watch it X
